Relationship-Based Parenting Support

Virtual Workshop now Available!

Parenting is a challenging enough job, but when you are a parent of a child who has big feelings, it makes your job far more complex than what most parenting books and advice can offer. If you feel like you are constantly faced with the same emotional and behavioral hurdles with your child or teen, no matter what you try, it may be time to connect with a professional trained in child development to establish a more productive approach in the home. A trusting and respect-oriented relationship is at the core of successful parenting and addressing big feelings in children is dependent on the attachment between guardian and child. Our approach believes the work of discipline isn’t finished until the parent and child are united, stronger than before.

For many families, these ruptures often continue in a cycle and leave a family feeling defeated and hopeless that anything will work. While traditional methods may result in fleeting peace and compliance, you may find yourself stuck in a punishment loop as the only means of getting a child to behave. Through the latest research in child and brain development, the field of child behavioral science has made profound adjustments in our awareness of what truly drives misbehavior and overwhelming feelings in children and how adults can effectively steer a child towards connection and productive behaviors. Raising children truly takes a village, so let us help you learn how you can help your child want to come towards you and not away by integrating a sense of mutual-respect and companionship into discipline. Stop the struggle and learn what works long term.
