Every individual deserves a warm, caring environment in which they feel heard, supported, and understood. I believe all people can benefit from counseling, no matter the situation or season of life they may be in. I am extremely passionate about meeting people where they are, while establishing a foundation of hope and health to ignite self-growth.
I believe adolescent and young-adulthood encompass some of the most important opportunities for growth and self-exploration. I am passionate in providing support, knowledge, and skills to help youth and young adults navigate life transitions while prioritizing mental and emotional wellness. I desire to impact the community by empowering teens and young adults to see their potential and strive to achieve their best selves.
One of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship and forming a bond of trust. Using a person-centered approach, I allow each client to have a safe space to share their journey. I use an integrative and client-centered approach to personalize each experience. Utilizing Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), I help clients learn how to reduce unwanted symptoms of various mental health conditions while reinforcing productive coping and regulating skills to persevere during life’s inevitable hardships. I specifically specialize in helping those suffering with symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, behavioral issues, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress management, interpersonal conflicts, and childhood trauma.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. I graduated from Winthrop University with a Master’s in Education and Development with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my career so far, I have experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings including all levels of care. I have worked with people of all ages in crisis in the Emergency Department and individuals who have been hospitalized for stabilization. I have worked with youth (ages 6-18) in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitalization, PRTF (Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility), partial hospitalization, and outpatient therapy. As a clinician, I have a very broad view of mental health diagnoses, helping distinguish the safety and level of care each client requires.
